Chan-Kah Resort Village is one of the most attractive and interesting lodgings in Palenque, 3 km west of town and 2 km east of the ruins. The palapa-topped restaurant, enormous stone lined swimming pool, lush jungle gardens enhance the handsome wood and stone cottages with Mayan traditional accents. It is surrounded by 32 hectares (50 acres) of wild life jungle with monkeys, hundreds of birds, a river crossing along the cottages and gardens.
